Thai VietJet Air (TVJA) has had its permit recertified by Thai authorities, a move that unlocks its international flight expansion. "We believe that the certification will further reassure the confidence of travellers across the globe in our services and the Thai airline industry as well," Thai Vietjet CEO Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh said in a statement on Wednesday evening. TVJA is the 12th Thai-registered airline to get its AOC reissued by CAAT in compliance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. The ban was meant to appease the UN aviation safety watchdog to remove the red flag placed on Thai civil aviation authority for "significant safety concerns" since June 2015. Thai VietJet continues its bikini-powered promotional campaign with a Songkran video shot in Chiang Mai.
